Press Release & Gallery

Across sound, photography and painting, these artists ask questions about what it means to be human. Sherrard Jr.’s new work maps the sonic frequencies of Black America and draws from his deep fascination with the distribution of knowledge, data and information. Through a series of photo-sculptures, Honora uses raw materials to construct and deconstruct the human form, examining how societally imposed limitations and phobias stifle one’s potential. Provost fuses figuration and abstraction in fluid, vividly hued oil paintings that evoke a sense of spiritual transcendence. Together, the artists engage the mind, body and spirit, galvanizing viewers to take stock of the here and now.
